Home Electrotherapy LOVE

I have been meaning to write about this for a long time. I love it! It sends a electrical buzz between the two electrodes, which you place along tight muscles or painful nerves. For tight muscles, it will flex and release them mildly and get them in a non-tonic state (I have written about tonic muscles in another post) so they start firing. For nerves, the buzz blocks the pain. The Omron model below is what I recommend. It costs $60 and includes the device and the electrode pads. Replacement electrode pads are $15. The pads get about 150 wears. Very worth it for the blocking or relieving of pain. I have had it for 3 years so the longevity is good.

There are different "modes" (like lower back, feet, etc.), different types of "stimulation" (like kneed, tap, etc.) and different levels of intensity from 1-10. I have seen that different people can take different intensity levels. I crank mine to 10.

It pulses through 15 minute program. The instructions advise to do no more than 30 minutes. I have used this continuously up to 2.5 hours. Generally, I hang out on the sofa and chill while I watch TV. But, I have worn it to movies when my sitting pain was bad.

When I can't escape my body pain and ibuprofen, muscle relaxants, or topicals aren't going to get the job done, this is my go-to. I REALLY recommend it!
